mother and daughter...

Except for her slight juice mustache, you would never guess Lilah is 2....she looks about 12 in this picture! :)

I have a feeling...

people might be fighting over this wrapped gift!

I had a helper wrapping presents with me this year. She did a great job at unrolling the paper and covering herself with it! Maybe not the help I needed, but definitely the help I wanted! Oh...she did like holding down the paper on the gifts I was wrapping until I could get tape on it. Sorry if you have a gift with 20 pieces of tape on it. She was certain it needed it.....and a 2 year old knows best! :)

A Little Holiday Cheer!

Now that I finally have the ornaments on the tree :), I feel a little more in the holiday spirit! We also brought Lilah to see Santa. She was so funny. On the way, she was super excited to go. She kept reminding me that Santa says, Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas. As we stepped into the mall, she looked around and asked about 10 times where Santa was. When we finally got to him, she wanted to run right up to him....who wants to wait in line?!

So ready to see Santa!!!
When it was finally her turn she walked up and what did he say???? .....What's your name? You could see the disappointment in her eyes. Who was this guy? Santa say Ho Ho Ho...right?! So, she sat for what felt like 10 minutes, but was probably 1ike 1, with a sad, get me away from this stranger, look on her face until I finally was smart enough to ask Santa to say his famous phrase....

Here is the before...
and the after...
We also decorated a gingerbread house this weekend. Lilah is very crafty ;)....or at least she is my excuse 98% of the time to do crafts!

Lilah's masterpiece (with just a little help from mommy)

Wishing you all a VERY Merry Christmas!!

Leaves!

I know my posts are short these days, but I have a toddler who is completely obsessed with me right now, and I am trying to stay on top of this Holiday stuff...oh, and we have a trip to Hawaii coming up. :) Plus...I know all you look at is the pictures anyways.

This past weekend Lilah and I spent a ton of quality time together outside, she couldn't get enough of the leaves. She kept calling the piles her swiming pool, and wanted me to put leaves on her face and cover her up. She also had to 'help', which meant she threw as many leaves out of the pile that she could and needed to use her rake to make her own pile.

Halloween

Halloween was a blast! Lilah has so much fun going from door to door collecting her candy. Well, at least until she saw a boy dressed as a skeleton with a mask (a 'bad guy'). Thanks Auntie Stephanie (and Grandma Ginger) for helping with the costume!!! Oh and daddy too for being her caddy!

I am not sure we will ever be able to top the costume from last year, but we sure have a lot of fun trying ;)

and...one more flash back. Lilah's first Halloween.

I guess it doesn't matter what you dress these little munchkins in. I love looking at all of the photos of them all dressed up!

Pine Tree Apple Orchard

It is a little strange to be at an apple orchard / pumpkin patch when it is 80 and sunny....but I am not complaining!! I remember our family trip last year to the Pine Tree Apple Orchard. This year Lilah was definitely more of a 'helper' :). We left with pumpkins in hand, treats for now and later and a child covered in dirt. I would call it a successful trip! Here are some pictures comparing this year to last...

I thought it was funny that the next two are so similar...

and....one year ago. YES, this is the same child...
